I.F. Man Arrested on Warrants
Idaho Falls, ID – Local law enforcement arrested 30‐year‐old Travis Castro for multiple
outstanding warrants, including a felony warrant for grand theft, following a vehicle pursuit that
ended in Rexburg Thursday afternoon.
Castro, of Idaho Falls, has not been arrested for Tuesday morning’s Guns N Gear burglary. But,
appropriate charges are pending a prosecutor review.
Idaho Falls and Rexburg police officers executed a search warrant on the white pick‐up truck Castro
was driving when arrested in Rexburg. During the search of the vehicle, detectives identified the
truck as being stolen from HK Contractors, Inc., in Idaho Falls. It was also determined to be the
vehicle captured by surveillance footage from the Guns N Gear burglary.
Detectives recovered four guns from the truck which were stolen from Guns N Gear.
The Guns N Gear burglary is still an active investigation. Detectives, however, do not believe there is
anyone else involved.
The grand theft warrant stemmed from an unrelated Idaho Falls Police vehicle theft case from May.
The other three warrants were misdemeanor Bonneville County warrants.
Media Note: For additional information regarding this release, contact Joelyn Hansen.
